FISHING

Fishing in Los Roques offers the unique experience of wading in shallow, crystal clear blue and turquoise waters. This destination is known for its abundant flats and beaches, making it an ideal spot for Bonefish.

Although Los Roques is renowned for Bonefish, the Tarpon fishing is also exceptional with the added possibility of encountering elusive Permits. Achieving a Grand Slam in one day is even possible.

In addition to Bonefish and Tarpon, other species such as Jacks, Barracuda, Triggerfish and Parrotfish can also be caught in Los Roques. Through years of research and development of flies, there have been increased fishing opportunities specifically for Triggerfish and Parrotfish.

Season

Fishing in Los Roques is good all year round.

The months between March and September are low tide months and are the best for flats fishing as they are

While from October to March are high tide months so fishing is better on beaches and it is the ideal time to look for large tarpon.


Bonefish and Baby tarpon found in lagoons and mangroves can be caught year-round.


Thanks to its location at the southern end of the Caribbean, this archipelago is far from hurricanes.
